Why are we seeing an increase in Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological disorders? Did you know 2/3 of Americans with Alzheimer’s are women?
I first saw the effects with my grandmother years ago and now my mother has Dementia and Alzheimer’s. She was diagnosed at a young age of 72. I actually saw signs of it at around 68 but the doctors told my parents I don’t now what I’m talking about. It’s sad the doctors brushed it off and they recommended a treatment that actually would cause what they said is temporary memory loss. I didn’t like the idea being she already was showing the signs of Dementia.
There are so many factors to look into and you can reduce your risk factors!
I used to always warn my mom about things she was consuming and medical treatments that are known to have side effects of possible Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Hopefully these will help reduce your risks.
Things we need to look at are:
*Gut health.. The gut is called the second brain. Most people destroy the gut with processed foods, antibiotics, coffee and other caffeine products and other medications.
*Adrenal health – The adrenal glands balance hormones, some of which affect the the gut and the brain. Caffeine and refined carbohydrates damage the adrenal glands.
*The flu shot – yes.. that is correct, the chemicals in the shot can have an affect on your brain health. There is a study that shows if you get the flu shot 5 years in a row or more, you exponentially increase your chances of developing Alzheimer’s. It’s sad the Alzheimer’s association and medical profession deny any connection but the chemicals in these shots are known neurotoxins.
*Artificial sweeteners – aspartame and sucralose are used by many in their coffee but also are in many diet drinks and foods.
*Cholesterol medications – it’s listed right on the side effects of the drugs. Also your brain needs cholesterol yet the medical profession pushes the public to get their levels down to unhealthy levels.
***For women I believe the risks are higher due to so many taking hormone pills from such an early age.
By reducing risk factors, you can limit your chances of developing Alzheimer’s Disease and other health conditions. Lifestyle is one of the biggest factors on overall health. There are several natural supplements for Alzheimer’s Disease.
One thing I always recommend is doing a full body, cellular nutritional cleanse to help remove many of the toxins, chemicals and inflammation while providing the body with optimal nutrition, minerals and vitamins it needs to thrive.
Over a year ago, a colleague introduced me to plant based supplements. These are to help rebuild gut health, support the endocannabinoid system and some provide “brain food”.. nutrients specific for brain health. I put my mother on some and we saw improvements within the first month. Even her doctors were shocked to see changes after 5 years of declining cognitive abilities. When they saw her for her 6 month check up and saw improvements, they first said to my father, this is great the drugs are finally working. The same drugs she had been on for almost 5 years. The sad thing is once my father told them I had put her on plant based supplements, they scared my father off of 1 of the products for my mom and she lost at least half of her gains. It’s sad doctors push their drugs that have had no benefits and many side effects yet say a plant based formula is bad. Plant based formulas are natural vitamins, minerals and antioxidants the body needs.
If you would like to find out more of what to avoid and our protocols of cleansing and plant based formulas to possibly help with brain health, email me or ask more on your next visit. There is no better time than now to take action to optimize, prevent and maintain your health!
